Son of Italian scriptwriter and movie director Giuseppe Moccia, and his childhood was linked to the world of cinema through his father, which he wrote in several Italian comedies of the 70s and 80s. It started in the world of work from his father at age 19 as assistant director Attila flagello di Dio (1982) .1 Five years later he directed his first film, Palla to the center, but the lack of success he had caused Moccia wrote screenplays and directed several series. In 1992 he wrote his first novel Three Meters Above Heaven (Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo/Tres metros sobre el cielo) which was rejected by several publishers and releases in a small edition by "Il Ventaglio". Again without success, in 1996 wrote and directed the film Classe mista 3A and returned to the world of television.

His first feature film "Tuvalu" (1999), starring Denis Lavant, was invited to 62 festivals, including San Sebastian and Berlin.
His cult movie “Absurdistan” premiered in Sundance competition.

Nephew of the director Lina Wertmüller, after making her debut in the theater in 1976 with Luci di Bohéme, a show presented at the Venice Biennale, in 1978 he began attending the Gigi Proietti's workshop for scenic exercises. Together with his classmates Paola Tiziana Cruciani, Shereen Sabet, Rodolfo Laganà, Patrizia Loreti and Silvio Vannucci he founded the comedy group La Zavorra, active in cabaret theater and television entertainment until 1984. He appeared in more than sixty films since 1978. Among his other works on television: The team, RIS Roma, Squadra Antimafia, 1992 and Mina Settembre. Recently he was in the cast of the film America Latina directed by di Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo, screened for the competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival.

Vukotic was born in Rome, to a Montenegrin comedy playwright father and an Italian pianist/composer mother. As a child she studied acting and classical dance, in Italy and France. A brilliant character actress, Vukotic became well known for her role of Pina Fantozzi in the Fantozzi series of comedy films (winning a Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fantozzi in paradiso) and, later in her life, for the role of Grandma Enrica in the TV series Un medico in famiglia.
