5th EDITION OF THE S.MARINELLA FILM FEST- THE 2018 TOUR OF THE ITFF OFFICIALLY START

 Start from the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the event that will involve the coast north of Rome throughout the summer.  

Next weekend Santa Marinella will become the center of national cinematography with three days of previews, international guests, exhibitions and fashion shows that will attract a large audience of fans and film fans.

 

An event organized and realized by the cultural associations of Santa Marinella Viva, Civitafilm Commission, Ciak 2000 and Aster Academy with the aim of creating an international traveling festival on the north coast of Rome to enhance its territory.

The evening opening is scheduled for Friday  June 29,21:30 in Piazza Trieste  when the actress Francesca Antonelli (from acclaimed italian film “Manuel”), godmother of the festival,  will open the event in the presence of journalists, actors and institutional authorities.

Following the premiére screening of the film  The Impossible Choice directed by Samuele Dalò with Giuseppe Di Giorgio, Nathalie Caldonazzo and Marco Di Stefano, who will be present at the festival. A film focusing on the mafia, scheduled to be released in Italian theaters July 26th.

During the evening, Awards will be delivered to Giuseppe Di Giorgio (Best Actor in the film), Nathalie Caldonazzo (Best Supporting Actress in the film).

Saturday 30 June at 21:30 a screening of five Italian short films is scheduled, with presence of directors and main actors. In this event, Jun Ichikawa will be awarded as best actress in the short film Satyagraha directed by Nuanda Sheridan and cinematographer Roberto Girometti  for his effort in the short film Sogni ... dell'amore directed by Roberto Posse.

Special prizes for acclaimed actress Sandra Milo with the prestigious Golden Apollo Career  and Francesca Antonelli  with the Silver Apollo for her intense performance in the film “Manuel” directed by Dario Albertini.

The closing evening, Sunday, July 1  21:30 will be entirely dedicated to young talents of the film laboratory of the city which was born two years ago from an idea of Sonia Signoracci, President of the Cultural Association Santa Marinella Viva, assisted by Cinefantasy Production. The short films made from this young people who took part in the workshop will be presented and  at ending, a party dedicated to them with Max Liga and his Ligabue music show.

“My goal is represented by our young talents”  - says Sonia Signoracci, director of the Festival – “and we will continue on this line hoping institutions and the whole country will understand the sense  of the art of cinema at 360 degrees, where there are many professional figures. We live in an era where knowledge is essential to be an input for young talents.”

“The synergy between the various realities is the main objective for the enhancement and growth of our country  “ - says Piero Pacchiarotti, President of ITFF – “further collaborations are not excluded so that this Festival will remain as an annual event structured in many Municipalities. This year we begin from Santa Marinella,  next stages will be on August 25th in Montalto di Castro (Viterbo), on September 22nd in Santa Severa (Rome) to conclude in October from 3 to 7 Civitavecchia, with all finalists short film screening and awards.”

Numerous collaborations in this Festival:  from the company Cinefantasy Production that will introduces a VR short film with interpretation of Agostino De Angelis,a well-known theater actor, and under artistic direction of Ombretta Del Monte, where cinema and theater comes together through virtual reality. The fashion designer Anna Rotella will introduces her clothing brand Azugaba, with models from  Gloria Salipante School.  Also during the event, a vintage veichle car exhibition made by Associazione Circuito Storico di S. Marinella,  curated by Daniele Padelletti.
