Press Release Closing and Winners of ITFF 2019

Five days in Civitavecchia for International Tour Film Festival 2019: great numbers and faboulous guests, a perfect combination for a great event.

 

The final stage of the International Tour Film Festival took place at the evocative location of Cittadella della Musica in Civitavecchia from 9 to 13 October 2019. The final stage of the International Tour Film Festival, the traveling festival of short films and feature films that took place during this summer in some of the most beautiful places on the Lazio coast like Santa Marinella, Allumiere, Tolfa, Cerveteri and Santa Severa.

 

 

This year 3600 works from 110 nations around the world were submitted at the call for entries, exactly twice as much as the previous edition, as highlighted by the President of the International Tour Film Festival Piero Pacchiarotti during the Press Conference last October 3rd at the FUIS.

 

Really surprising numbers, not to mention the peculiarities of the event: seven categories in the competition, two of which are reserved for young people and an "absolute winner", the Critic Award; a meeting on the Constitution and much more during these five days of the Festival. Beyond the competition, for example, several events took place in the schools to remember important characters like Mario Monicelli and Leonardo Da Vinci. Also, an acting workshops was held with Simona Tartaglia; book launch with personalitieslike acclaimed journalist Pino Scaccia, Raffaella Lanzetta and Emanuela Del Zompo.

 

Ester Vinci, actress of numerous tv series, including Squadra Antimafia, was the godmother of this edition; the official opening saw actor Simone Gallo and the beautiful Anastasia Vasilyeva as hosts of the evening  while final evening was presented brillantly by the actor Roberto Luigi Mauri, who wisely entertained the audience with irony and professionalism ; at his side, Angela Achilli, former presenter Rai and currently godmother of important  festivals.

 

The first evening, October 9th, began with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition "Cinema and Myth", the historic Lambrettas veichles from the collection of  Silvestro Guida, Miss Civitavecchia Elegance  and Miss Castelli Romani winners from Gloria Salipante fashion school, to arrive at musical notes of the singers Armando Caforio, Kumiko Yoshii, Roberta Manovelli and Sergio Grech of the Cultural Association L’Arte del Canto.

Instead, the opening film was Il Signor Diavolo, Pupi Avati's latest work which sees Andrea Roncato among the actors,  awarded for his fabulous 40-year career with ITFF Martori Career Award.

Another important award delivered during the evening of October 9th is the ITFF Fashion Award to actress Daniela Poggi. She surprised everyone with the initiative of call on stage - and then sharing with her its moment during the awards ceremony - the young and talented Giulia Todaro, an actress who took a lot of heart and is currently working on a new film project.

The third and last Special Award on that evening was delivered to Chef Bruno Brunori, who met the students from local High Schools in the early morning .

During the first evening the first rows were full of guests and loyal friends of the Festival including the legendary actor Lorenzo Renzi and Andrea De Rosa, the great Amedeo Andreozzi and the wonderful  actress Ira Fronten, who presented the opening event at the previous edition of the festival.

 

Thursday 10 October was dedicated to human rights. In Sala Morricone the Academy Award 2019 short film Skin,  directed by Guy Nattiv,   was screened. Following the feature film Caina directed by Stefano Amatucci, in the presence of the director and main actress Luisa Amatucci .

 

On Friday 11 October the evening took place as usual at La Cittadella della Musica and saw the awarding of two important prizes: a Special Award to actress and director Maria Grazia Nazzari and the Award For Media to producer Nicola Vizzini. As the presenter of the evening were the charming Luca Muccichini assisted by the Festival's press office, the journalist Roberta Nardi.

Saturday, October 12th was instead an evening entirely dedicated to local talents with the Festival del Mare , a  music video competition held under the wise direction of Pietro Giorgetti; the evening was hosted this time by Floriana Gigli and Gino Florio while the winner of the evening was Giuseppe Scaglione.

 

Last evening of the festival, Sunday, October 13, the ceremony award took place with an international audience, with directors from Russia, Spain, Croatia, Singapore, and so on; producer Isabella Poli had the pleasure of delivering ITFF Career Award to actor Gennaro Cannavacciuolo.

Among the names that occupied the front row seats, the mayor of Civitavecchia Ernesto Tedesco and the Hon. Alessandro Battilocchio; the film directors Christian Marazziti and Daniele Falleri, the cinematographer Gianni Mammolotti; director Donatella Baglivo, the actresses Marilu ’De Nicola and Paola Lavini, all veteran friends of the Festival; the hairstylist and image consultant Andrea Basolu, fashion influencer and marketing manager Monica Gabetta Tosetti - who took care of the presenter Roberto Luigi Mauri's outfit - with her friend and professional colleague Laura Sonvico; the well-known make-up artist specialized in make-up Roberto Mauri with his friend, author of articles and monographs on the relationships between psychology, art, cinema, music and dance Giulio Casini, the Sociologist and Criminology investigator Maria Gaia Pensieri; the artist Alexandra Del Bene who made the ITFF Critic Award delivered to the winners.
